I was expecting traditional Bergen rain today. But crikey and blimey it was sunny again today. Am I a lucky boy or what?
I headed back to Bergen this morning to do a few last things. I also wanted to see the city one more time before heading south.

I was in the mood for food and was tempted to visit the 3-Kroneren for a delicious hotdog. I’ve eaten their nibbles before….but then I saw the queue 😂

So I went around the corner and grabbed a hotdog from the 7-11. The last time I was there it was new year’s eve / morning. Just about 1am. Rachel and me had been on the nearby mountain, Fløyen, for midnight. When we got to the 7-11 someone was sweeping sick out of the doorway 😂 There was no vomit this time 😂

The hotdog was tasty ☺️
I popped back into AKB Illustrations to see Anna. She is the artistic genius behind the shop and most of the art inside. I should have taken a much better picture of the outside of the shop 😂🤦♂️

It was really cool to be able to share some of the stories about my trip and pick up more recommendations for other places to visit. We also chatted about the direction hands-on experiences might take with the advent of AI. Will people seek out making things, or be satisfied with immediate results from less effort? We also spoke about the magic that people deserve to find within themselves, whether that’s art, or music, or something else entirely; but something that provides a real flash and sparkle within ☺️

Eventually the time came for me to leave Bergen. Before I knew it I was on another ferry; this one heading to Sandvik. And I arrived at the port with one minute to spare ☺️ It was really sunny!

This was a larger ferry than the others I’ve used in Norway. Turns out, it was a longer route. Was nice to actually have time for a wee stop 😂
Back on land I spotted an interesting bit of scenery near Fjon. The water was surrounded by something that reminds me of Scottish moorlands.

The sun was in that golden hour period where the colours in the landscape really started to come alive.

Riding further on, pulling over on Ognøy, in the Bokn area, was a must. The sun was setting and the view was amazing.

The sky was beginning to develop a pink-purple glow. It looked terrific.
The scene looked so tranquil.

There was one more ferry for me to catch. This one was heading to Mortaviga. There was a twenty minute wait but that was fine.

The moon was out, the darkness was spreading. And I could see lights sparkling on the horizon.

Today I rode around 125 miles. The route was brilliant. Dry roads were a treat, and the little towns with interconnecting bridges were really memorable.
Norway scenery has continued to delight.
Thanks for reading Day 13! Hopefully there will be time to explore Stavanger tomorrow ☺️
